The context is that both Josh and I are crap at speaking up about small frustrations.  For me, it's usually because making a fuss over something minor feels silly, and being part cat, I hate feeling silly.  For him, some of it is that he knows I'm trying to improve, and feels bad being frustrated or impatient at all.

[personal profile] rosefox suggested a bug-tracking system.

(Dear LJers: You can in fact log into DW as an LJer, yay OpenID, to take the poll.  Or just comment!  Whatevs.)

I kind of really really want it.  But alas, Josh is not as much of a geek as me.

How awesome would it be to use a bug-tracking system for minor relationship frustrations? "Bug: Dishes. Summary: I realise that you're trying, but I feel frustrated when there are still dishes in the sink. Component: [venting] Assign-to: [partner]"

They call me Mr. Knowitall,
I am so eloquent.
Perfection is my middle name,
And whatever rhymes with eloquent.

I'm writing a bit of something in Excel to make my life easier.  As always, I comment my code.

I have one block that compares what I typed to what's in the main info sheet, so I can make sure I'm right.  The comment:

I have a little Excel macro that processes reports for me.  At one point, it opens up two Open File dialog boxes in succession.  The first is to the left, the second is off to the right, dunno why.

[code for opening the first file]

MsgBox("And then a step to the ri-i-i-i-i-ight!")

[code for opening the second file]

This was required.

This morning, I felt like looking like a greaser, so I decided to not rinse the conditioner out of my hair.

That sounds a lot more empowerfulised than "I completely failed to rinse the conditioner out of my hair and so I currently look like a greaser", doesn't it?

My hair is short enough to wear this green wig I bought forever ago!  (Without annoyance, I mean.)

Haaa.  Man.  Short hair apparently agrees with me a bunch.

145 reviews for a Bic Crystal ballpoint pen, medium point, black.

Some excerpts:

* Just as Cristal is the epitome of Champagne, so too is the Bic Crystal when it comes to the wondrous world of ballpoint pens. Specifically designed for use with an opposable thumb, the boffins at Bic have once again poured their magic on this timeless classic and brought it bang up to date - incredibly, it's gone wireless!

* I ordered one of these pens upon seeing that it gave smooth writing without any indication of what level of education or foreknowledge was required. My dreams were shattered when I learned that this DIDNT TEACH YOU THE ALPHABET, and that users are expected to already know the basics of forming letters, words and sentences with no assistance given by either Bic or Amazon! I will now have to return to dobbing my faeces on walls to convey meaning until I master this writing.

* I have been fighting competitively with sabres for several years, and bought this weapon last month after becoming interested in other forms of fencing. Since I hadn't handled a foil much before I was a little surprised by its small size, but could immediately tell that it was of very solid French construction. The grip was good, and I was impressed by the lightweight materials used - it was considerably lighter than any I'd previously used. As luck had it, I soon had the chance to enter a regional foil fencing tournament and was delighted to find that, despite my lack of experience, my new Bic gave me a definite edge over my competitors! My reservations about the length of the weapon proved unfounded, as one by one my rivals fell. In the end I easily won the contest, so based on this test I am happy to recommend this mighty pen.

You know, I see the "I have a $person, and you don't!" posts around, and I always think they're kind of mean.  So I thought about posting about having a [livejournal.com profile] wispfox, and my brain took over to make me write this, instead:

I have a [livejournal.com profile] wispfox, and you could too, for four easy installments of only $39.95!
