Just enough knowledge to be dangerous.
Dec. 19th, 2011 01:35 pmR/J have a Black & Decker drill, DR320KG. The problem is that the chuck is missing two parts: the chuck retaining screw, and the clamping jaw. I am only somewhat confident that I know what I'm talking about here.
Basically, look at this image. On the very left is where one puts drill bits, between the jaw thing there. This drill, which is the exact same model, doesn't have that. And the manual refers also to a chuck retaining screw, that's screwed through the chuck into the spindle. All this has is the chuck that goes onto the spindle; there's no screw or jaw.
So, I need to find a single-sleeve 3/8" capacity chuck replacement. Can I do that without it needing to be the exact same brand?
