This morning, I felt like looking like a greaser, so I decided to not rinse the conditioner out of my hair.

That sounds a lot more empowerfulised than "I completely failed to rinse the conditioner out of my hair and so I currently look like a greaser", doesn't it?

The mesh-looking dealie holds things I'm getting rid of.  The closet holds yarn.  The back of the door holds my robe.  The bookcase there, I've had since I was four.  The box in front of the lamp is my Magic.

My hair is finally long enough to part down the middle!  A better picture to follow... eventually.

In conclusion, yes, I'm listening to Muse.

A couple of brief things:

- On the one hand, I am trying not to let squee overwhelm me or my journal.  On the other hand, omg I may die.  I may die!  Omg!

- My hair has gotten long enough to become mussed overnight.  *amused*

- I just watched episodes 8 and 9 of Dr Who, and I must say, it's been a while since I've actually been seriously startled.  Good heavens.

My hair is short enough to wear this green wig I bought forever ago!  (Without annoyance, I mean.)

Haaa.  Man.  Short hair apparently agrees with me a bunch.

regyt: Y'know, you look so serious and butchly fierce in that fuzz photo of you, but apparently it makes you even sillier somehow, which I didn't even think was possible.
regyt: It is awesome.
the_xtina: When I got my hair cut off, I was symbolically rejecting society's hold on my definition of myself.
the_xtina: I am now 6oz more free and unrestrained!  I bite my thumb at thee, societah!
the_xtina: (Ow.)
regyt: That explains it all. Bwah. No wonder you sound so light and cheery.
the_xtina: Oddly, I am only half joking.
regyt: I figured!
the_xtina: I did not bite my thumb.  :)

(Six ounces!)

While the biting the thumb thing is not it, the rest is.  Every so often, I make a strong forward step towards for-me and away from for-others, and that's kind of awesome.

It's still short!

Washing my hair is so easy now.

I want to get a trimmer, just so I can do my own hair and be happy forever.

What the deuced hell am I doing awake?  How did I even fall asleep?

Oh right, hair pattins.  I think that is the only thing I'll miss about long hair - hair pattins.  It is seriously my Achilles heel.  If I could purr, &c.

But now I am awake, for at least a few minutes, and I need to clean out the litter boxen.  Spooky was an active cat, shall we say.

IN OTHER NEWS, the Bridgeport people lied to me.  Told me they don't sell Black Strap Stout in bottled form, due to something about carbonation or nitrogen or something like that, I don't know, I don't make beer.  I stopped in the store today to pick up beer for Brad (he's getting in at 1am-ish after a long-as-fuck drive, so, beers), and WHAT DO I SEE.

Oh yeah.  (Photo not mine.)  Fuckers.

In conclusion, I did an images search to find a picture of a bottle, A BOTTLE, of Black Strap Stout, and I found a website for a catering company that makes awesome cupcakes.  Including, but not limited to, something called "east end chocolate stout": "our dark chocolate cake made with east end brewing co.'s black strap stout, covered with dark chocolate ganache and topped with irish cream buttercream".  They're in Pennsylvania, in case you ever find yourself in desperate need of a catering company delivering a bunch of odd cupcakes to your event.

As a PS, apparently Black Strap Stout is a common name for a beer?  The one I love is made by Bridgeport Brewing Company.

Misky things.

- I really dig Dresden Files the TV show.  The lead actor, omg.  There are things to nitpick, but I find that it's easy to just go "Hey, this ain't the book", and enjoy it.  But... uh... an RPG?

- I have a tendency to rock back and forth sometimes.

- Hooray, we might be gaming with some folk this weekend!  Eee!  Lunch Money and Cosmic Encounters and Fluxx and Robo Rally deeheehee.

- This is a good post.  I mean, it's a good goddamn post.

- I've been doing this breathing exercise thing, because I can do it without props or huge preparation or anything.  Automated process taking forever?  Breathe, breathe, breathe.  It's... weirdly useful.  Now I want to get some little wrist-weights and keep them in my bag for arm-strengthening exercises.  I wonder what other things I could be doing that're that (or close to that) seamless?

- My hair is long enough to where I can french braid it.

- Goddamn, emotions are stupid.  I say again: goddamn, emotions are stupid.  I do not know how emotions-oriented people deal with them all the time.  I have no idea how I feel right now.

- B now has me hooked on "Burn Notice".  I recommend it.  Now I have this, "Dresden Files", and "Heroes".  Dammit.

- Gosh, this all looks so cheery, doesn't it?
