Amazon Book Time Cost

"This script lets you know exactly how long it will take you to read the book and displays the "time cost" right above the list price of the book (see image). This script will work for any book on Amazon that allows you to "search inside this book". This is needed for a "Text Stats" link to be available which lists the word count of the book."

My problem is, my wpm reading rate varies depending on the text.  Is it comedy?  Dense philosophy?  A computer manual?  What?  But, according to this, I read at around 750-800 wpm.  And of course I was skimming a bit - I wanted a realistic-for-me rate.  I got the message anyways.

Also, if you search on Amazon and library at userscripts.org, you get a whole bunch of scripts that are for finding a book in a variety of libraries.  It can't be that hard to get any one of them and change it a bit for your local library.

Thank you for letting me read your journal. I feel confident that Ocho is in good hands.

I got 300-350, but I felt that this was denser text than most stuff I usually read.

I got a Willa Cather story - now I have to go track it down because I want to read more of it. *laugh*
