nonethefewer: "Email!! Go to the motherfucking BANK like an ADULT. Grocery shopping! Clean ALL the things!" (motherfucking adult)

Today, I am apparently being an adult.

I started with apartment-shopping.  There's an apartment complex right down the street from me, so I went to their website and sent "Let's meet!" emails for three locations that they manage.

I looked up their applicant requirements, and noted that one was that the application may be rejected if, among other things, the applicant's outstanding bad debt (OBD) is over $2,500, or if they have more than 5 OBDs.

*anime sweatdrop*

So, I went to the website of a decent local credit union, to investigate their personal loans.  I heard advice from... someone... that one way to help out that whole credit score thing is to take out a bank loan, use that money to pay off (or help to pay off) a debt thing or three, then repay the loan on time.  Bam!  Improved credit.

One part on the application for that is entering my driver's license number.  My license expires on my birthday, which is one month minus one day from now.  Fantastic.  So now I'm reading up on getting my Oregon driver's license, which I should have done approximately a million years ago, give or take.  I'm hoping I won't need to do the driving test, given that my license right now is still valid.

Gah.  Being an adult is stupid.

Erm... isn't that a lot of work to avoid moving further than down the street?
