My potted plant has some clover in it.  How much should I care about this?

That depends on how much you like or dislike clover. If you're indifferent, I expect you shouldn't care. If you feel strongly one way or the other, I expect you should care.

I could have been more clear - I was wondering if clover was a bad thing.

I mean, I don't think so, but I also kill plants frequently through neglect, sooo.

Technically it's competing for resources with the main plant (water, nutrition, space for roots in the pot, leaf space for light), but I don't know whether it's a big drain on those resources or not. I usually pluck out the clover for cosmetic reasons.
