I...

I'm signed up...

I'm part of [livejournal.com profile] rosefox's gaming party.  It's a site that turns doing chores into RPG-like adventures.  We're using this for weightlifting (and other exerciseal things).

My god, I've gone to plaid dork!

[livejournal.com profile] moominmolly, you gotta look into this.

Penny Arcade's comic on this made me laugh (http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2007/07/20).

Join our party! You can create your own adventures, customized to whatever you want to encourage yourself to do. I recommend having some surrealist fun with items and monsters; for example, when I do sit-ups, I might find a coffee mug! Or be attacked by a piece of fuzz!

Wow, it never occurred to me to use it for self-improvement rather than household chore-splitting. That's infinitely more appealing. . .

/me wonders if this would make taking regular breaks, excercising, icing, gooing, strength work, etc more entertaining...

Hmm. How does one add adventures which can be done?

Sadly, I cannot walk to or from work (40 minute drive!).

And I don't know what a four-interval workout is.

On the plus side, I bet my 3-4 times a day excercise set each count toward three different upper body excercises! (wrist things, forearm things, upper arm things) And probably should include the icing and gooing in there, since I do them every time. Hmm! *thoughtful*
