Long story short, I'm ignorant of Bio 102 stuff, and was confused as to why I was feeling a lump close to my breast but not, you know, on it.

I'm bright, and I recalled the thing about feeling the lymph nodes on the sides of my neck to see if they're swollen (when I'm sick), so I thought "Hey, lymph nodes?", and was right.

Turned out to be the axillary ones.  No stress.

That there, suh, is a creepy goddamn picture.  What's creepier is feeling for - and finding - the other ones.

I have LUMPS.  Weird black rubbery ones, if that picture is any indication.  (It's likely not, but don't spoil the mental image, yall.)  *feels them*  *is icked out*

I had one of those swollen a few months ago, too. Right in the center of my armpit, hurt like the dickens whenever I moved my arm. And a constant source of "ooo, rub it, make it go away" (which of course didn't work)... that is, one I convinced myself it wasn't a malignant tumor.

By the way, I shall express disappointment that, having clicked the link, I discovered that it was not YOUR boob. Not that there's anything wrong with that boob. But, y'know, it would've been cooler if it had been yours. :)

Eeew! I mean, congratulations that it wasn't anything worse. The pic is educational, too. But still, eeeew!

Spider-Boob!

I found some creepy pictures when I looked up my patulous eustachian tube. You really don't want to know about some of the things that can go wrong in your ear.

There's lots of other types of bumps you can get on and around your breasts and armpits, so if it doesn't get better when the rest of you gets better, consider asking a doctor about it.

According to The Wonders of Ultrasound, my boobs are chock full of liquidy black lumps. (Because fluid is black on ultrasound. I'm so terribly curious what color the fluid is really.)
