I posted a poll, for those only on DW.  The reason "too" has double-apostrophes around it?  Too much time documenting in MediaWiki.

Yeah.  It's a sickness.

I want to put together some sort of "seriously cheerfully uppers" playlist.  So far, brought to you by YouTube, the great MP3 dispenser for the kids at home:

* Kids, MGMT [+video]
* Lisztomania, Phoenix
* Dashboard, Modest Mouse
* Run Runaway, Slade [+video]
* Lost, Coldplay [+video]
* Uprising, Muse
* It's A Mistake, Men At Work

I appear to be full of energy and verve.  It's a trifle unnerving.

Uhhh.

Squick notice for those who don't like eye things.

Last week, I was IMing with [personal profile] rosefox, and I had something in my eye.  My eyelashes really love falling into my eyes, so I rubbed my eye, and I felt a sharp pain, that felt for all the world like a minor tear.  I don't know if it was one, but that's what it felt like.

(Outside corner of my left eye.)

Cue a week of not rubbing it, to the point of sitting on my hands.  Sometimes I had to close my eye, because I'd get random pains in it -- in that corner, in my eye proper, so far as I can tell.  It's been calming down, but it still itches on occasion, and it's still red like red, just in that corner.

Today, I pried away my lids around that corner to see what I could see, because it still feels like there's something non-sharp in my eye.  I expected nothing but redness as usual, but I saw a bump on my eye.  In the... sclera part?  Dr. Google tells me it's at least similar to a pinguecula, only on the outside, not on the side closest to my nose.  (Not that it can't occur &c &c, just that it most frequently occurs &c &c.)

Dr. Google further tells me that unless it becomes a problem (pain or constant irritation, doesn't go away or gets larger, contains bees), to just wait it out and suffer.  Maybe get some eye drops and see if that helps.  I want to get new glasses anyhow, and it's about time for an eye doctor, so if it doesn't get worse but it doesn't go away, I'll get it checked out post-move, when I can &%($ afford it.

Still, augh.

[eta] That area hurts when I look outside on a bright sunny day.  Amazing.
