Open source my fucking *ass*.
Nov. 8th, 2007 08:58 amWhy is it that, though we are in the future, I have to know every last configurable goddamn detail about PHP forever? Why?
I'm trying to install LimeSurvey, which uses PHP, which means I have to install it. I go to localhost/php.php (a page I made to display the PHP info), and it shows the Configuration File (php.ini) Path as being C:\WINDOWS. The PHP directory is listed in my environment variables and I put a copy of php.ini in C:\WINDOWS. No dice.
Fuck you, PHP.
[eta] The general gist I pick up from Google results - not that any of them have a solution just yet - is stuff like: "You should change the config file to list the .dlls alphabetically, copy the php.ini folder to C:\WINDOWS, reboot, add this registry key, and dance thrice widdershins. Duh."
And this is a default installation??

However, this autocompleting tags thing is awfully nice. Thank you, LJ.
