Why is it that, though we are in the future, I have to know every last configurable goddamn detail about PHP forever?  Why?

I'm trying to install LimeSurvey, which uses PHP, which means I have to install it.  I go to localhost/php.php (a page I made to display the PHP info), and it shows the Configuration File (php.ini) Path as being C:\WINDOWS.  The PHP directory is listed in my environment variables and I put a copy of php.ini in C:\WINDOWS.  No dice.

Fuck you, PHP.

[eta] The general gist I pick up from Google results - not that any of them have a solution just yet - is stuff like: "You should change the config file to list the .dlls alphabetically, copy the php.ini folder to C:\WINDOWS, reboot, add this registry key, and dance thrice widdershins.  Duh."

And this is a default installation??

However, this autocompleting tags thing is awfully nice.  Thank you, LJ.

Windows Mobile phones suck, and you suck for having one.

We just watched Dr. Who, Season 2: Army of Ghosts, Doomsday.  I would, weirdly, prefer a lack of spoilers.  Good faith == I cut these, even though eh.

Just some chats. )

B got her upstairs (she was sitting 'twixt the dryer and the wall, away from the essentials, too near kitties), by way of wearing his leather jacket and gloves.  He still got scratched, but I got vindicated (she is creepy fast with her scratchings, though not prone to running), so okay then.

We have some Feliway, and I've been spritzing it here and there, away from her, so that she's not more freaked out than she has to be.  Poor thing.  Thankfully, I have a rocking chair that's surrounded by stuff, so she can be under something.  I'm not reaching in, so she can feel like that's her space.  Closest I got was pushing a food dish under the chair's rung, so's she could eat.  And she ate, hooray!  I may put a dish of water under - there's a waterer available, but it may be in a distressingly open space, and it's kind of too big for under the rocking chair.

What she really wants is to be left the hell alone, but she wants company.  It's a weird balance - too much time with her, and she'll feel crowded; too little, and she'll feel abandoned, and will come downstairs and freak out/be freaked out by the other cats.

*time elapses*

Awwwwww, I spent enough time upstairs, which meant she's comfy enough to boof me again.  Hullo, boofy cat.  I am reserving opinions as to whether she'd be good with other people/kitties, since it is only her second day here, but I am coming to the idea that she'd at least be best in a room of her own with one person, to start with.  I am still afeard that she's gonna, you know, cut me in the night.  I deal with this by only letting her pat me first - I put out a fist, so she can boof it, and so she doesn't get an impression of claws.  Nice thing is, she's a lot like Peaches in being skittish kittish, so I'm already used to "Don't move too fast!" stuff.

I am a crazy cat lady!  This is not news.
