I have a corrupted lang file, shut up.
Dec. 16th, 2007 03:31 pmI'm going in for wisdom tooth extraction on Monday-or-Thursday. (I called to postpone it to Thursday, but I won't know if that was successful until Monday morning.) Both uppers, woo. I'm reading about it. What it seems is, I can expect the day to be a write-off, and most likely part of the next day.
I'll be taking a Valium the night before (woo, I'm a cliché), and not eating for 8 hours before the surgery. Amoxicillin as a just in case thing, and Vicodin for any pain. I should probably make some non-chunky soup for me to eat - oo, tomato soup. And maybe vanilla pudding. And oh hey, we have a blender, right. More food-related suggestions - yayfor foodies. (Mashed potayters!) I should make a menu, or something.
We'll be leaving Friday for the holidays - and yes, that is the very next day. I'm contemplating bowing out and staying home - it would really suck to not go, since I like B's family, but (a) teeth and (b) Peaches needs a lot of care, and while we could take just her with us (the other three can get by on kibble for the weekend), and I can totally see the logic in taking her with us, it might be better for her to not go. And we don't know anyone well enough here to ask them to give Peachie subcutaneous fluids every day on top of pills 2x a day. Oofah.
I dunno. I'll discuss that part with B when he wakes up.
Miso soup! Oh man, I am so glad for that foodie thread. I'm sure ice cream and yogurt are lovely, but I can only take so much sweet stuff. Mashed potatoes and miso soup and cream of [stuff] soups and oh man, I should go wash the blender, huh. (It's a trifle dusty.)
If you have input on the process, or tips or whatever, I invite you to respond. I'm stocking up on data to relieve the anx and make sure I'm prepared, so.
