Are you looking to pay someone regular amounts over PayPal? They could make you a monthly invoice and then link your PayPal account to your BofA account so it automatically debits.

Naw, I'm looking for a way to separate "money for important shit" from "money for other shit", and it occurred to me that (a) Paypal has a debit card thing and (b) I could use it, maybe, possibly.

PayPal isn't a bank, so you don't have a routing number and account number to send an e-check to. I guess you could get a secondary bank account and link only it to your PayPal while refilling it this way. However, you'd still have the problem of having to check your balance in a different place than where you spend it. But to use it with the PayPal debit card, that might work for you...

Mostly off-topic, but PayPal's buyer protection is ridiculously weak. They consider a transaction successful if the seller has proof of shipping, regardless of whether the item made it to the buyer or got lost in transit. I'm down $60 because of that and will not use PayPal to buy anything in the future.
