I just went shoes shopping, since I need a pair that'll go well enough with a skirt, and men's shoes won't really cut it. (Not the ones I have, anyways.)
I do not understand having an obsession with cute shoes. I mean, yes, they're lovely to look at, but those things are freaking uncomfortable! I pretty much live in Birkenstocks and just vary the style for the occasion (basic sandals for work and everyday and flat Mary Janes for interviewing or dressing up). I even wore Birks to my wedding, much to my mother's chagrin. :)
My shoes are closest in appearance to these (http://tbl.imageg.net/graphics/product_images/pTBL-1376186dt.jpg), only turn all grey into black. Same manufacturer, though. *lurvs them*
Haha. I've got a few pairs of those, but mostly my heels are perfectly sensible. I could even run in them if I had to :) I'm fond of square-heeled oxfords, personally.
