I'm boofing the cat with my head.
Aug. 19th, 2007 01:24 pmDailog, for tracking porpoises. I'll not get everything, but no worries.
Thu: R shows up, huzzah! There's good trancy music on the radio; I never knew I liked trance, but what do I know? Apparently, I prefer it with more "natural" instruments, by which I mean less synth, more violins & piano. We got back to the house, and, um. Hung out, I think.
Fri: Holy crap, we ate breakfast. (Toasted pita and honey for her, toast for me.) After hanging out for a while, we went to Safeway to get vitamins (for her, since there was a buy one/get one sale) and bananas. We then walked to Rite Aid, to pick up her prescription. I bought a first aid kit and some bandaids - latter because we're low, former because it's good to have, just in case. We went to a place... um... well, we went to some coffee-type place on 39th near Division, which was nicely awesome. Then we went down to Mabel's Café and Knittery, to find that they're closing. Apparently, they're turning into coffeehouse-only. :( !
We got back here, then we e-ven-tu-al-ly went to dinner with B, his sisters and their baby, and his dad and his wife. (Ah, pronouns.) We had pizza at Bella Faccia Pizzeria, which has awesome-like-awesome pizza. Mmm, pizza. Afters, we hit a Walgreen's to get a heating pad for R's neck, since it hated her, and we went home to heat places that were sore. (Perverts.)
[eta] Oh and also, she and I went to play pool, wherein which apparently I kicked ass.
Sat: This day was composed of three whole days, I'm convinced. First, to define "we" - me, B, R, Jennifer (B's squeeze), her son Joshua, and
jaylake. We first went to Saturday Market, briefly, then we went to a circus thing down the street from it. Tour de Fat was first, from noon to three.
moominmolly and
dilletante, I would absolutely recommend that yall try to see the Yard Dogs Road Show, except they seem to not leave the PNW area. Still.
We then saw Circus Contraption, which was wicked fun, but a bit short. Pictures:
- A picture of me knitting.
- A close-up of sticks and tissue tape. This will shortly become a userpic.
- Freakish spider-hands, aiee!
- This is my favourite picture of Rose, insofar as it's possible to have just one.
Went home afters, and napping occurred (for others). B went to dinner with his folks again, and R and I went to Bridgeport Ale House. The food was good, but srsly, their Black Strap Stout is the best stout I have ever had. Rose thought it was good. I didn't want to drink it quickly, it was so good. Damn.
We got home, Jennifer came by, B came home, and we all got prepped to see RHPS. Then we went to karaoke. So, we were gothed-up for a sports bar. Uh. B and R sang... a song from RHPS (? "Dammit Janet", I think), and I did "Whiskey in a Jar" by Metallica (like I do). And lo, we went to RHPS. R loves me enough to not out me as a virgin to the show, which was nice of her.
Honest reaction to RHPS: I don't entirely get it, but sure, whatevs. The callbacks were fun, even though I didn't know (m)any.
Then came the "What the hell are we doing up at 3a??" part. Heh.
Currently, I'm going to go put some clothes on (aw shucks), and we're gonna go to Mabel's to get in on this 40% off all yarn deal they have going, because d00d. I most likely missed things in here, but that's just how I roll.
