I think he may be having something of a breakdown, which is common for people who have a mental illness, after coming off of an addiction. I am trying to be charitable.

Short answer: long-term cocaine and meth habit, likely combined with some form of endogenous mania disorder, plus enough money in the bank to make sure that nobody within hearing distance ever says "no" to him about anything.
