I think I just need to not listen to music if I'm not at home, in my room, with the door shut.  I always get massively irritated when I'm interrupted in listening to my music - and I live in a world of extroverts and the phone and argle and bargle.

This came about when I realised that I'm a lot less irritated when I am not listening to music on the bus, as there is no safe-for-me level that also drowns the talkers out.  And that most of my irritation at work at the phone is being interrupted, yes, but a lot of that is being interrupted mid-song.

Sad cat is sad.  I like music.  But if I can't detach from it in the Buddhist sense, then I shan't be allowed to have any.

Yah, me too. Sometimes, something I want to listen to will come on and I'll turn it up because I want to - hrmmm - fill myself with it. Yes, that will do. Anyway, natch this is the point where whomever is in the area with me decides it is the perfect time to tell me about whatever such and such thing, requiring me to turn the music down and listen. It is difficult not to feel itchy-all-over-my-body agitated when this happens. And, also, Stupid since I am almost always listening to music playing from my iPod so it is not like I can't just pause the song until they are done talking. However, the itchiness cares not for reason. It want to hear that song, and it fucking wants to hear it right now!

So, yeah.
