To make up for having had an otherwise annoyingly pissy day, I'm going to be fostering a kitty for a few weeks. Secretly, I'm a bit insane.

I'm writing this out because (a) if I don't, I'll forget (I'm working in ASP and SQL again), and (b) maybe someone has input on things to remember.

To do when I get home:

- Clean the upstairs. Put everything in bins (mmm, yarn), vacuum, make sure there are no danger things, and protect the plants. (Box? Profit?)
- Rearrange the bookcase and put down plastic to make a litterbox nook.
- Clean out and fill the litterbox.
- Make a hideyspace or two for Ocho to hide in.
- Block off access to going downstairs. B thinks it'd be fine for the kitties to mingle, but moving homes will be stress enough for poor Ocho.
- Set up a place for food and water, and yknow, set up the food and water.
- Er, have a quick dinner. Yayfor non-cookie soup.

Then:

- Call

rpeate to arrange drop-off (tonight, ideally):
- Does she have any health concerns?
- When did she last see the vet?
- Please bring any vet paperwork.
- If she hasn't gone to the vet recently, call Pet Samaritans and set up an appointment.
- Write to

bronxelf_ag001 and let her know that Ocho has done arrove.
- Pat the kitty, if she wants it.

Reminders:

- Call the airport (whichever one 'pon which is decided) and talk to a live person about pet transport requirements and such. (I am lame, and do not trust the AA website.)
- Do lots of research tonight, to be thorough. I haven't transported a kitty in over a year, and the kitties were in the cabin
- When I take Ocho in, ask the vetfolk about kennels, in case she has to be shipped as cargo.

This is also useful because if this works out, I'll have a feel for how B's kitties react to new kitties (I know how they were with Magic (skittish), but Magic didn't like other kitties, so), and maybe I can help foster more kitties in the future, like I've wanted to do. See also
