*frowns*  I posted these via Flickr's "Blog This" dealie, but apparently it didn't come through.

I have plant mushrooms.  What should I do?

I would normally suspect that it's due to too much moisture, but the soil didn't look like it. If it were me, I'd pluck the mushrooms, and fi they came back I'd repot. I don't know the "correct" answer though.

Shrooms in Potted Plants

Well, why do anything? Is there a spore / allergy concern?

Otherwise, hmmm. The spores were probably in the potting medium when you bought it. Not much to do about that but bake your soils beforehand, which I hear smells to high heaven.

What about a mild fungicide? They sell such things in plant shops, but you might do just as well with a household product, watered down down down and lightly misted on, so as not to bother the plant you want to keep.

Gah, userpic!

It's mostly that I don't know how this will interact with Planty, and I don't want anything bad to happen to him.  Nor do I want a plant filled with mushrooms.  Freakish things.

And what if it's poisonous?  *skeptical*
