Crap. I can no longer remember why, but File Manager in Windows 3.11 (Windows for Workgroups) was a quantum improvement over 3.1. It was included in Win 95 (winfile.exe), but in a broken, limited version.

IMHO, Explorer sucks. If it had supported long file names, File Manager in 3.11 would be hands-down the best thing that ever came out of Microsoft. The ability to have multiple views open simulteneously and tiled within the application window gave a lot more flexibility than the sidebar in Explorer. No comparison.
